Workshop

In this three-day workshop you will create a clay portrait head. Sculpting in clay reveals the structure and form in 3D and enhances the artist's understanding of the head and face. Suzann will share the methods she uses in sculpting, giving individual instruction. All creative levels are welcome and will be accommodated as you learn the methods Suzann uses in sculpting. This will be a fun workshop that will no doubt stretch and challenge you as you create and perhaps discover abilities you never knew you had. You will find Suzann a delight and grow in your skills in this special workshop opportunity. All materials and tools will be provided including a handout.

"Sculpting is my passion.  I strive for simplicity of form and encourage the viewer to interpret their own meaning of my works. The piece may start with an idea gathered from various sources, such as an image, a thought, or a personal experience. The human face and body are my primary subjects as they are my muse."

Suzann, a Gilmer resident, is an accomplished and celebrated sculptress. She has studied at home and abroad with well known masters. Her pieces have been included in competitions and in private exhibitions.
